Our Approach
Shaunty Healing Center is a privately owned residential treatment center located in the Montrose area of Houston, Texas. Here, we serve individuals who need both short- and long-term mental health treatment. We understand that all cases of mental illness are unique and need to be approached with different methods. At Shaunty Healing Center, we focus on creating individualized treatment plans that address each of our residents from a holistic perspective. To achieve this, we integrate services such as individual and family therapy, group therapy, case management, life skills, in-house psychiatry, medication management, and more to create a safe community living environment.
Our convenient location gives our residents access to The Houston Medical Center which houses some of the best providers in the country. SHC's in-house psychiatrist also allows our residents access to a psychiatric hospital, when necessary. This provides continuity of care and reduces unnecessary, extreme, and sometimes misguided medication changes.
In addition, we are located in the museum district which allows us to expose our residents to educational and artistic outings on a regular basis. We also partner with local organizations in the area to provide residents with jobs within the community. At Shaunty Healing Center, we not only focus on each resident's mental health, we also focus on their social, financial, and physical health. By assessing individuals from a holistic standpoint, we are able to provide each resident with an opportunity for long-lasting success.
